There was quite a bit blowing in the October winds in Charlotte this weekend.  The Cup race was certainly one Carl Edwards would like to forget but Jamie McMurray had a strong showing and Greg Biffle hung on for a 7th pace finish, keeping his hopes alive for a championship.  All of the Roush drivers appeared under the big top at the Roush Fenway Racing Fan Fest and we were able to snap this quick image as they greeted their faithful fans.  The weather was blustery and rain-soaked for the David Ragan fans who were brave enough to stand in line to shake his hand.  Terri and I had never met David and we were so impressed by his gracious and gentle manner with his fans.  One little girl came up with a pink cast encasing her broken leg which he immediately signed.  Now I have taken a cast off before and they are certainly nothing that you want to keep forever but I think this little girl might just try!  David liked our denim and said that he was going to pick some up for the women on his Christmas list!  The NASCAR Foundation held an event billed as Breakfast at Tiffany's.  Mimosas were served to the guests as they wandered around the Tiffany's store in Charlotte.  Rusty Wallace was there as was the Championship Cup.  Check out the NASCAR Foundation on NASCAR.com. They do great work!  Lastly, we met Boo Weekly the hero of the Ryder Cup Sunday night at Whiskey River.  Dale, Jr. was hosting a Gary Allen concert to raise money for his foundation.  The next race update for us will be Phoenix in November!
